Best of Resurfaced. Not because you asked for it, but because I thought it'd be fun.
So, apparently, South Carolina can get snow. Who would have thought? I haven't seen snow here in Greenville in like two years. At least, not any amount of enjoyable snow. And it always frustrates me when we do get cold, inclement weather. Practically every business shuts down, people drive on the roads like the lanes are just suggestions, you know the drill.
I've never been one of those guys that gets super excited and wants to go out and play in the snow. I mean, I did it all of the time as a kid, but somewhere along the way, I decided it was more enjoyable to stay inside and not get my clothes damp and wet and dirty. Plus I don't really own any gloves or boots or anything. I did go out in the snow and take some photos. I love taking pictures when the weather changes like that. I'm just not that into making snow angels by myself.

Anyway. I tried to write up my "best of Resurfaced" post only to be encumbered with two problems. (1) I couldn't post the entry because I had no Internet access; and (b) the entire blog is hosted online and not on my computer, so I couldn't even look at my blog to pick my favorites. So, here I present to you now, my top 14.754% favorite entries from the past year, in no particular order.
- poetic justice?
- Grace and Peace to you
- oh, like you're an expert on last names
- Feeling quite refreshhhhhed.
- Like, I even remember the exact date where nothing interesting happened in my life that day (it was just the one time).
- the name needs work, I will be honest
- I never learned to hula dance, I will admit that.
- Just a weird guy with a mustache, apparently.
- Why Resurfaced?
- ok, smile! one... two... three... *snap*
- I think I need to just avoid arts and crafts stores altogether.
- Visa. Accepted everywhere. Except for parking garages. And anyplace else where cash is a necessity.
- let's read syllables; first there's five parts, then seven; then there's five again.
- And now, for something completely different.
- You would have never guessed that would happen
- new technology is always fun
- Frank Sinatra said something about it once I think...
- Hanging in Tampa
- I always excelled at that in Kindergarten class
- on the other hand, my car was chilled to a nice and cool 62 degrees
- I'm very intuitive
- if you'd just listen for a minute...
- by the 3rd service, we were just pressing buttons
- maybe I should do my presentation in the form of a rap song tomorrow
- It's almost like reading my inner monologue on my life. That's quite a privilege, I'd say.
- and that's the definition of irony. right there.
- you know a day this long is bound to have some good pictures
- impromptu jokes are what I'm best at
- it's actually not that bad of a drive
- this entry made me laugh... and... if you don't think it's funny, at least there's pictures to look at.
- What if we all started being more intentional about sharing the gospel with people we come in contact with?
- My life is full of awesome stories. Here's just a few.
- I've often thought that it would be fun to write a book too... I just don't have any ideas for what I'd write
- i felt like a fifth wheel... you know... the one that adds stability and laughter?
- It's a fake tree yet I still have to pick up the needles. Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
- I thought of a bunch of other taglines but they sounded stupid.
- That's probably the most amount of italics I've ever used in one post.
- The entire day had a common theme... did you guess it? Had to do with poetic imagery or something.
- I did well on making things out of clay in art class though. Things like misshapen ash trays, mugs that could be used as ash trays, and bowls.
- There was also the time I was caught on the security camera picking my nose... but hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
- Of course, no one ever breaks out the "Thriller" dance at hoedowns... they really ought to start doing that.
- The soundtrack was "Brothers gonna work it out", which I thought was kind of ironic.
- I always thought it would be fun to say "And lo, behold" all of the time, on every story. And lo, behold. A sub-par blog entry.
- I'm really just wondering how many more late nights without sleep I'll have before I get sick. Better start chugging the orange juice.
- The only discouraging thing to me was that I think people probably learned more about me in that list than they would reading this blog everyday...
- My weekends feel like 42 hour no-sleep marathons.
- I think most people were surprised by my singing, either that or they thought it the radio.
- Now that I think about it though, I'm pretty sure my whole opening speech/lesson sounded dumb.
- Just imagine what every blog post would be like with this many pictures. Just imagine.
- I'm really just looking forward to having lower car insurance... is that lame?
- In other words, "How I threw myself a birthday party jam without telling anyone about it." I'd like to see you pull that off.
- It looks way more artistic this way, trust me.
- You probably opened this entry with Great Expectations for its quality in mind though, don't lie.
- I like to imagine that if they counted past 10, some kid, somewhere, has to go without sugar or candy for a month.
I'm going to be taking a break from blogging as I decide how I want to pursue writing. If you have thoughts or opinions on the subject, feel free to let me know.
Later,
Joe
